I'm really pleased to share that I've been featured on the NAPA blog!
In my article, “How Wrong I Was – Challenging Unconscious Bias Around Dementia”, I reflect on how delivering silent discos in care homes has challenged my own assumptions about dementia.
Working with residents has taught me so much about the importance of looking beyond a diagnosis and recognising what people are still capable of enjoying and experiencing.
It's something I feel really passionate about, and I'm grateful to NAPA for giving me the opportunity to share my experiences.
